Get Involved

Joining an HRCC Chamber committee is a great way to get involved, meet area business leaders and help set the direction of your Chamber. Meetings are typically held once every month at the Chamber office.  If you would like to join a committee, from the list below and contact Executive Director, Karen Schaefer, or call the office at 216-397-7322.

CI-ED Committee
Chair: Michael Love
Have you heard of our Civic Involvement-Economic Development Committee (CI-ED)? The CI-ED Committee is a collaboration between officials of our six member communities and HRCC leadership. All six member communities have a seat at the table along with HRCC Board Members.

Since re-convening two years ago, the CI-ED Committee has been busy. City officials share updates and ideas with each other, so everyone is informed. This committee has also led to some great opportunities for regional collaboration. All six cities are adopting the same available properties database system, which will be announced soon. As you may be aware, the Committee is also doing much work promoting Small Business Saturday as an initiative of the HRCC. The Committee works to ensure members and potential members see the value HRCC and the cities are able to offer to business owners.

The CI-ED Committee plans another exciting year of initiatives in 2019. The year will kick off with a launch of the available properties database and a presentation to commercial brokers. Partnerships with the County will also be explored, as officials from the County Office of Regional Collaboration regularly attend CI-ED Meetings. Look for some more exciting news soon.

Night at the Races Committee
